As I was reading your wonderful latest I was thinking how ChatGBT had likely stolen from your own work as well (or perhaps has plans to do so), and so decided to make a point of that in a comment. I was thus gratified to see you acknowledge AI’s overall thievery yourself.
I don’t easily see how to post a selfie here with your amazing book (or I would). I also bought a copy for a friend, and believe me, have recommended it to others many times over as well.
The AI just takes content for free, massively simplifies it, then sends it back. In many cases it is an emotional delicate area , the response takes little of this in
AI may well have a potential that is greatly overstated. It can process a whole lot of data quickly.
We are much more than words and numbers. Someone with serious grief would be much better with a kind , understanding and patient friend
We all have taken in very hard things in and survived.
Thanks for this thoughtful post! I too am a widow and also a cancer survivor struggling with that title. I think I find it challenging because it sort of implies it was in the past. Even though my treatment finished two years ago, it still feels present and like it could come back at any moment. I also used chatgpt for advice and found it wiser than I was expecting haha.
Love you my friend! You are amazing 💖
Right back at you my friend! 💖

Thanks Jeff!
I appreciate how you acknowledge the nuances that Chat GPT can’t get right. Really fantastic essay!
Thanks, Lisa! I’m so glad you liked it!
Happy Bookaversary!! This was a great essay - I’m also behind the curve on using AI and I appreciate your analysis of this response to grief
Thanks, Lizzie. ❤️
